Looking for a good storage VPS
Need a VPS to store weekly backups from my primary server.
Location: Any
IPv4: 1
Storage: 1TB HDD
Bandwidth: 2TB monthly (1Gbps)
KVM preferred
RAM: 1/2GB
Payment: Will pay for the first month (to judge the performance/reliability) and after that will pay yearly.
Budget: Currently paying about $60 yearly from one provider, so more or less around that price.
Missed out on some great BF deals.

Servarica Polar Bear 2TB 48$/yr, but they won't allow monthly payment though. I think you can try and refund if not satisfy. Servarica support is one of the best for me
These are my recommendations.
In no particular order.
Thanks! Need to hit them up for any current LET exclusive offers.
Thanks, you know of a link to that offer/package? Can't find it on their website.
If you click plans on the main page, then storage, it’ll show you all available ones.

These speeds look quite high for a storage VPS, is this the level of performance we can expect @AlexBarakov?
It could be SSD-cached HDD server. YABS only writes to a 2G file, so the data could comfortably fit in SSD or RAM cache.
SSD caching on top of HDD server isn't a problem. Typically I've had a bad experience running minio on storage servers because of its high I/O requirements and some caching can definitely help.
I was asking merely because whenever I discussed this issue with other providers, they'd say that speeds of ~100-200MB/s were expected for a storage server. So I was looking for clarification from @AlexBarakov if I can expect to reach these speeds for short periods of time, in which case I'd gladly buy one.
My AlphaVPS storage server in Sofia
I highly recommend AlphaVPS.
That's exactly what the cache is there for. Moving around the head of an HDDs is slow and the cache helps to avoid that for random access of small files. And yes, that's about the performance you should be able to expect on a cached HDD setup as long as the files stay in the cache. Beyond that, it will drop to the physical limits of an HDD (which are around ~150 MB/s for sequential R/W and way below that for random R/W).

And of course, here is the obligatory YABS:
I can vouch for @alwyzon. Top notch services. Amazing network as well.
My recommendations:
@servarica_hani - https://servarica.com/storage-servers/
@hosthatch - https://hosthatch.com/storage-vps (VERY premium but need to wait for promos)
@LiteServer - https://liteserver.nl/hdd-storage-vps/
I have used Servarica and HostHatch for over a year now and have been very satisfied with the service. Snagged a LiteServer box this BF and it's been excellent so far.
Thank you for the recommendations guys.
@stevewatson301 - our storage machines are generally suitable for cold storage and services that are not very I/O intensive. I know that some people to use Minio without issues, but expectations shouldn't be very high for I/O performance on our 5EUR per TB KVMs.
We run hardware RAID60 with BBWC and/or SSD caching on our nodes. We try to balance things out, so everyone gets an equal slice whenever is needed and we very rarely get any complaints.
If anyone's interested - here's more information: https://alphavps.com/storage-vps.html
Strongly recommended @alwyzon. Have a storage server with them.working like a charm
Also a couple of storage offers at https://console.vmspecialist.com/order/main/packages/order/?group_id=2 currently. Recently ordered one, though I've not got around to actually moving stuff onto it yet...
Do you have recommended tools for self hosted s3 object storage?
Checkout MinIO: https://github.com/minio/minio
That‘s exactly what you are looking for. Exposes an S3-compatible API and can be run as standalone (on a single VPS) or even as distributed cluster (over multiple VPS for redundancy).

for this spec: Storage Server 1T
if I made payment by yearly, do you have the discount?
Sure, there is a yearly option available at checkout for all plans and that automatically applies an 8% recurring discount.
Liteserver, awesome EPYC CPU and great IO performance. Has been using their service for a few months and zero down time. Seems reliable enough.
Interserver that has given out free credit recently offers quite decent storage VPS.
Both IO and network performance are decent and it satisfies all your needs except for budget. Not sure about its reliability though. Only time will tell.
Avoid H○○(it's mentioned in this discussion as well) if you care about your data.:) their storage plans have bad performance anyway.
Liteserver, it's very stable.
Hosthatch, I personally do not recommend.
