Maybe a node problem?
My Contabo Singapore VPS also works just fine.
Accessed via Biznet Networks.
Maybe you need to check your particular server and contact them for a resolution.

I ended up rsync'ing my entire data (with a poor dl speed ofc) to a new host just because i already had enough angry clients an bunch of complaints, I need to move fast, or they gonna kill me.

If you were highly impacted, why didn't you just call them up?

Definitely do that every time you see an outage anywhere, preferably before finding out why. Single server outages are unacceptable.
Try Google Cloud they have magic CPUs that don't let them go down.
