Providers, what do you use in your rack?
Hi,
We're pretty interested in seeing what the LET community rates the best hardware for networking. I've made a poll below, and we're asking you to give your opinion on what the best brand is.
Our choice simply goes to Juniper for their scalability and expandability. We're running Juniper also in our own racks due to those reasons. Cisco is fun until you hit 100 gigabit connectivity, then it's harder to work with them. (In our opinion(s))
We're also looking to expand our equipment, what would a recommendation be for a 10 gig switch?
We'll be waiting for your opinions and answers.

Most of hosts here are armchair hosts.
Thus, the end is nigh.
Oops! Forgot to add it, it's now added.
At yoursunny summer host South Pole colocation, we use an antenna to connect to Earth magnetic field.
No switch or router necessary.
Force10 (then bought by Dell), Dell, Arista, Brocade (now bought by Broadcom) are a common sight on our DC.
Arista definitely deserves a mention here
The DC I work with uses Juniper Network hardware. I know a DC I visited also had a ton of Cisco hardware. I also know there are some DCs that go hard with Brocade.
Juniper is our first choice, Cisco aren't bad though either.
Mainly Juniper. But also got two Cisco Catalyst 6509-e series. They just work. Will be replaced with Juniper too
I mainly use Quanta switches, as they are extremely good value for money.
Where more power is needed, I like to use Arista and HP switches.
Please be aware -- none of these brands listed support Protocol 7 for direct connectivity to The Wired using Schumann resonances
@Sacred yeah you missing Arista, Nvidia.
Generally speaking. The Top 4 in DCs are Cisco, Juniper, Nvidia Mellanox, Arista.
At least what I've seen.
I want to like Brocade but I've had bad luck with some of their proprietary stuff. This was a few years ago though so maybe it's gotten better!
The best racks contain boobs. Hands down.
And booze?
The best racks must be alpha.
Heads up.
boobze
True say. But I can not edit the post anymore. Forgot to add them, sadly.
It's true tho.
Arista for Network + Mellanox for Data/Storage
