Technically, yes. But do you know the username/password/vlan of the pppoe?
If you are trying to dial via your computer, just connect it to the Ethernet port of the ONU and via Windows or Linux you can setup PPoE connection with the username and password that your provider gave you (or you read it from the router).
I have a following setup:
GPON <---> ONU <---> Mikrotik <---> LAN/WLAN bridge
On the Mikrotik router I setup a PPoE connection via ethernet port that is connected with the ONU.
Other ports and WLAN are bridged.
I've noticed that ISPs have been giving lately ONUs with a built in Router feature so they can also dial and create a LAN/WLAN network. It's important that you let us know of the device Manufacturer and model.
YES.But after changing it, It don't need any username or password.
Asked me to make a choice, ZTE or HUAWEI. Given the current News from Huawei .... I choose ZTE F660A
