Hello,
I am looking for an encryption solution for remote "webdav/sshfs" to mount backup. There are some but they all look like having security issue.
I am looking for not a container "a la veracrypt/truecrypt" one but in a kind of FS one.
If I forget one tell me.
And finally if is multiplatform is a plus for me.
Thanks
Also happy new year to everyone.
Which one is more secure ?

Gocrypt and their forks
@DeviousDev to which specific security issue are you referring?
Cryptomator
Veracrypt rclone
In short, rclone.
I'm using Rclone
crypt
over SFTP storage. It's XSalsa20 cipher and Poly1305 for integrity.
Most reputable software has an acceptable cipher and a correct implementation (e.g. no timing vulnerability).
Security depends on how well you protect your keys.
Borg
Security and democracy (voting/polling) don't work well together.
Any fork better that gocrypt itself ??
https://defuse.ca/audits/encfs.htm There is some issue with encfs and same thing with other so. That why i asked here I am not an crypt expert so.
Maybe but is a good way to get the pulse
Thanks everyone i think ill go with rclone and a mix of gocrypt
cppcryptfs (for windows) for linux gocryptfs.
Works extremely fast, easy, and has GUI. Damn super good tool.
I use cryptsetup luks
Subscribing into this thread, never had the need to use any of these but informative and may come in handy later on.
Thanks cppcryptfs work good and is pretty fast.
