    If you are selling at $3/year, you have a loss of $0.99/year.

    I'm not sure where you're coming up with $3.99/year to break even. My costs may be different than WebHorizon's. (And from the sounds of it they certainly are)

    Regardless, you must remember, an empty server has the same operating costs as a full server so unused resources is a lost opportunity to make money even if it only is a single dollar. That's $1 dollar then I would have had before :).

    I often neglect this point and calculate profits according to what should be earned when the server is fully sold.
