Their email said 5 euro recurring discount for ALL PRODUCT (They even highlight All products).

So I think they will let whoever bought it can keep it as christmas gift!

Merry Christmas everyone! It’s 22:30 Dec 24th now in my country 🎉🎊🪅

we have some dedicated servers in stock we can use for more VPS, trying to restock later. For today i will be with the fam however later.
A wave of orders came and some packages went out

Somehow clients always find out quick about such easter eggs. Then it goes crazy.

  • I'm really curious if this disk speed is working as intended.

  • ShakibShakib Member, Patron Provider

I always wonder how benchmarks like YABS manage to pull 900 Mbps+ bandwidth even with the disk I/O like 10 MB/s.

In real world if we upload or download a file with 10MB/s disk I/O, we can't go further than 100 Mbps bandwidth even if we want to.

Do YABS uses RAM instead of disk for the network test?

If not, can someone please explain me what kind of black magic is that?

    Exactly that :)

iPerf stores the files in server memory rather than to the disk, so it doesn't get affected by slow speeds like in the OP.

Yes, it uses RAM. It's specifically a network tester, it would be a design fail to add disk bottleneck. SMH

    Bad advertising all the way.

The email states that the coupon is valid "on ALL products" (yes, with caps on ALL), but it's actually quite deceiving. I ordered an available LET from a few years ago, using the coupon code, and a day later my order was denied and refunded.

Also, for the love of Christmas and Santa, @HostSlick please put an UNSUBSCRIBE button in your emails. Personally I do not like to receive such time-wasting offers, because it took me some time to find a nice offer on your website to use that recurring coupon, so now I want to unsubscribe from such future offers, without having to waste time of your support too.

I believe these are bamboo disks located somewhere in the middle of nowhere and mounted as iscsi drives via wireguard site to site server.

True. You should have stated that. Books, products, offers, all should be clearly labeled to not create confusion for consumers; and email advertisements should contain an "unsubscribe" button or link.

It is irrelevant. All special offers on their website can not be used with the coupon. I tried, it works to order, but service was removed and I got refunded a day later (even though coupon should work on "all" products).

  • That disk is awful, but the price looks good! Nice deal

  • Out of stock, when it will be available?

We also want to inform you that during the Christmas holidays until 28. December 2021 we offer 5€ recurring discount on ALL products

@HostSlick seems the code already expired? but it's not 28th yet, but thanks anyway :D

  • Are we sure this is hosted on a HDD and not a CDRW?
