  • @Daniel15 wanted an extra VM in LA - this looks to be ideal!

I hope you can hold it for him.

  • Sorry for the dumb question... is bi-annual every 2 years, or twice a year?

    Every 2 years = bi-annual

  • @plumberg said: Every 2 years = bi-annual

You have to be careful with that. Biennial is every two years. Bi-annual is used both ways.

Hey, if this is still available I'll take it.

Edit: Never mind, just saw that the latency won't work for me. Sorry

Dang now you got me confused. Yup I failed grade school I guess? :'(

    $120USD EVERY 2 YEARS

  • Nobody should have buyers remorse. HostHatch deals are good. All this waiting for provisioning with customer's money may seem weird, but it's worth the wait.

That's what HH official response should be when people inquire if they allow service transfes.

I got this server transferred from @Salomon123. I can vouch for him as a good seller. It was quick and easy - messaged him yesterday, paid this morning and it was in my Hosthatch account 2 hours later. Thanks!

How many servers of hosthatch do you have now? When will you have enough (I'm not selling)?

    Dang I didn’t realize that

Guy’s got 10 HostHatch VPS.. most likely not accounting for the one he just picked up. He’s got 38 VPS total…

  • I do actually have a use case for this one, lol. I currently have a 4GB RAM + 80GB SSD VPS with another provider for $15/month. I need more RAM, but their 8GB plan is $30/month which is a bit too much. I've also had some issues with the other provider like high iowait. I want to migrate it all to this HostHatch server, but it might take a while since I've had the other VPS for close to 10 years so its IPs are hardcoded in a bunch of places.

@webcraft said: How many servers of hosthatch do you have now?

I've got 16 total with HostHatch.

The thing is that I don't use all of them, but keeping them is cheaper than getting rid of them. What I mean is that I have the 10 locations and 3 new locations "YOLO" bundles from Black Friday 2020 flash sales. The 10 locations are $70/year and the 3 new locations are $23/year each. However, if I split the bundle, they'd be $11/year each. That means that even if I only use 7 locations in the 10 location bundle, it's cheaper to keep all 10 than it is to only keep the 7 I'm using.

In addition to those 13, I have:

    • 10TB storage in Los Angeles
    • 16GB RAM, 80GB disk from Black Friday 2020. Hosting my email server (including Solr search index, which likes having a lot of RAM), Prometheus, Grafana, and various other things on this.
    • This new one I got from @Salomon123

    Nah that's a different one :)

Also the ones in my signature are just the ones in active use. Servers that are idling aren't in there. A lot of them are for https://dnstools.ws/, some of which are sponsored (the provider provides a small ~256MB RAM VPS for free or a discounted price in exchange for a backlink on the DNSTools home page).
