EU VPS with 3 IPv4s

good day

i am looking for RELIABLE VPS with following min spec:

RAM 1GB (or more..)
CPU GB5 multicore >=1500 (2 shared cores of newer CPUs like EPYC, Ryzen or Xeon 22xx, or 3+ vcores of older Xeons)
(i want use this only for DNS = load will be most time nearly to idling VPS, but i hate lazy VPSes and lazy loading software/control panels and waiting for them at work due from lack of CPU power)
DISK 30 GB RAID-10 (HDD SATA/or SAS are still fine, not must be SSD or NVMe)
BW >500GB @ 500+Mbit
virt = KVM
LOC: should be in Europe
3 IPv4s included
nested virt enabled/supported
CPU passthrough enabled also
boot from ISO (deb10 and deb11) possible in CP
closed port 25 is ok
reliable service, no cociu level (great uptime without node restarts each month; i am willing accept at standard circumstances max 1-2 node restart yearly)
payment half year or yearly

IMPORTANT NOTE: i want target this req only to providers who do have enough IPs and is not problem for them include 3 IPv4s very cheap or without extra costs (extra costs means for me 12 or 15 € for IP/y (or more) additionally - in such case pls do not kill your time with this, bcs it does not make sense for me such offer)

thank you for your time and potential offers, appreciated

regards miu

  • OVH is OK (reseller)

  • iam curious, how many nested virt you are trying to do with only 1gb ram?

2 (both with very low load)

i have tested that it works w/o problems (running this config more than second year, no problem w critical lack of RAM.. but now i need second one set)

btw: also this still meets necessary "minimum" PVE hw requirements and is able run when load is low:

  • wouldn't it be easier to aim for two single VMs instead? or are you looking for proxmox specific features? maybe as an alternative you can find a provider who offers two VMs directly on a promox node with a specific user?

(I'd have spare IPs on SYS for something like that, but not offering unmanaged services after all ;-))

Hello, Thank u for your response
Yes, i would to glad easy backup daily whole VM (PVE backup function)
(creating of whole sys+data rsync or partitions dd backups within rescue boot is not thinkable daily, of course)
plus Another advantages (possibility easy and fast migrate VM, option create replicas in cluster etc)
IMO yes, i also assume SYS at current offers is sure best solutions.. But I am waiting for SAT-2 SATAs (purposed also for backup/storage) several days and still nothing, and as i need set up new NS servers asap/already urgent i tried this demand here (after last SYS offers update i released all servers and began waiting for SAT-2 but it is still out of stock/restocking so I shot myself a little in the leg :-/ :-D.. Last one SYS i still have, but there is full disk, so maybe as alternative emergency solution when i did not find suitable offer here i will maybe delete any 2 VMs there for this)

So...what is your expected total budget for this requirement then?

Hello. To be honestly, i am waiting just for price offer for this (price is only thing what i have not specified above), simple said when price will tempting me and provider also imo (or my experinces) usable/reliable then i will buy probably, when not then i will rather delete 2 VMs on my SYS and build it there. As i also said i do not want to be bitch what require 3 ips with price as one (from someone who has IPs expensive leased), from this reason i said i target this req only for providers who have enough available/idling/no utilized IPv4s (or OVH resellers). In each case pls do not kill many time for this, not wanted URL links for order etc, only price offer (here or DM both are ok)
    Thank you

I do have a SYS-SAT-1-32 in Limburg (near Frankfurt, DE) with a few spare ressources and IPs, running Debian 11 and LibVirt/KVM, but I doubt it would fulfill your requirements.

For example if you only accept 1-2 node restarts per year, would that mean you require a yearly availability of more than 99.99%? Which obviously wouldn't be LowEnd anymore.

Debian probably releases kernel security updates that often and last year two HDDs with unrecoverable errors had to be replaced. Data was safe (striped mirrors) but since OVH only replaced drives while server was in rescue mode, it resulted in a few hours scheduled downtime.

Also SYS only comes with 250 Mbps limit. So SYS in general is no option if you require more than 500 Mbps. However if you say you only want to use it for DNS and it's idle most of the time, I wonder why you require more than 500 Mbps. My largest OpenNIC server currently serves slightly above 1k queries per second and that's less than 2 Mbps.

I guess grabbing 1-3 regular VPS from a provider of your choice should be the easiest way to go.

Hello. Good note and i agree. Explanation why: In future maybe i will put there also few little websites or microsites (cached & reversely proxied by Nginx), due from seo reasons (i always effort distribute client's microsites between my unique C-Classes what i can use). On shared node (where is uplink port shared between several VPSes what can host for example hundreds of websites together or have other high network load - i do not say that it is your case just) can website then load a much slower (when contain many pictures etc) on 100 or 250 Mbit.. So i rather wrote it 500Mbit, what is min standart for OVH dedicated. But yes, sure from emergency SYS 250 is usable still. Thank u for your response
