    JP Tokyo is faster than HK to China? (yes it sounds weird since politically HK belongs to China)

    Their HK DC2 has suboptimal routing to China - it goes via the US and back.

    Hi, unfortunately we do not have 10Gbps Japan Storage in offer yet. But we do have Ryzen and EPYC Tokyo pre-orders for now, so 10Gbps Storage might come in the future.

    Ah now I understand, there are (lots of) hoarders jumping into any flash sales to get as many as possible, then transfer them for profits. But if no one buys back, the hoarders will be punished :joy: Or can they dispute to get money back?

    They can always try to dispute (depending on the payment method), and that costs the provider something. However, if there is no real basis for the dispute then it should not succeed.

    There's several ways providers can handle it. Some ban transfers, either permanently or for a while. Some make it procedurally difficult, e.g. require copy of ID. Some charge a fee.

    One approach to "mass hoarding" is to say that people can transfer one VPS in or out of an account per year.
