  • if you dont mind the following locations, perhaps they can sort you out:

    @seriesn - Los Angeles

    @Francisco - Las Vegas

    @georgedatacenter - Los Angeles

    @WebHorizon - Los Angeles

    @Clouvider - Los Angeles

    Thanks but no where near his pricing. We'd be $60/month to get him to 4c/16G, but he wants 6c/8c.

    He'll have a hard time especially if he's wanting DA too.

    Francisco

    Thanks a lot. Although way out of OP pricing, the Los Angeles options at Clouvider are available here: https://www.clouvider.com/dedicated-servers/los-angeles/

    We can do a VPS on Clouviders network in LA, but budget would need to go up (or specs down).

    Needs the best performance (2) uptime (3) and reliability possible.

    You can only have two of the numbered wishes.

    My suggestion is increase 1 and receive 2+3.

    How about contabo US location? they fit all criteria within the budget, except the exact location (California).

    You can choose between US East (New York City), US West (Seattle) and US Central (St. Louis) Regions.

    Or maybe Hetzner US CPX41

    You can try Greencloudvps
    https://greencloudvps.com/billing/cart.php?a=add&pid=432

    Ask if possible to stack

    However, the disk is not NVMe only SSD and lower than 250GB.

    They have NVMe but I doubt they will give you that for that kind of pricing.

    Budget needs to be inline with the requirement.

    How much would I need to spend? Actually I am looking for this server on behalf of a client who is currently spending $40/month with Cloudways + DO. Looking to reduce the monthly cost and get a better specs server. I plan to wait for black Friday sales.

    I have heard that Contabo limits the disk & network speeds and since I will be using the server to host production sites, I don't want to deal with slow downs. Moving the sites because if slow downs.

    The sites are specifically made for California visitors so I am trying to get it setup there, or atleast in the neighboring states.

    So you actually make business decision based on " I have heard"? :joy: check what their limits are, maybe their limits are generous enough and may suit you.

    I make decisions based on people's reviews. I am not looking to do experiments with this project. "I have heard" some bad Contabo reviews unfortunately.

  • "A couple of wordpress sites" does not need these specs, especially not in the RAM department. I think OP should reevaluate how much in terms of resources he actually needs...

    Actually the sites are very heavy with 40+ plugins and the users login to view content. Currently the 4GB RAM server isn't cutting it and I have tried optimizing the sites already by using plugin organizer and minify combine etc.
