Storage VPS in AUS/NZ

Something along these lines:

1CPU / 1Gb RAM.
500Gb storage space.
10Gb SSD/NVMe for OS.

Traffic is expected to be negligible with the initial spike(s) to upload data.
No urgency, but would like to sign-up until the end of this year.

BinaryLane is a great provider, the above price is in AUD (exGST), you would need to change the bandwidth etc if you are downloading from it, but they include free uploads..

they are on the MegaPort backbone

The price displayed is ~$57 including GST per 0.5Tb of storage attached to the 1CPU/1Gb RAM node. Am I reading this right?

Appreciate the concrete offer.

Same question about the storage as above. RAIDZ-2 over five SAS drives is quite different to the mdadm-backed RAID-5 over five "prosumer" SATA disks; would like to know who is using what.

That's taken right now from my Binary Lane account. That's a hell of a lot different to what someone above posted.. They did update their pricing a few weeks ago.

The default SSD storage where your OS lives is on a RAID10 array (hardware raid) with hot spares and monitoring/alerting for when and if a drive fails and needed to ultimately be replaced.

With the additional SATA storage its the same deal (hardware raid with hot spares and alerting) just the array is RAID6 to maximise the storage (but hence slower writes)
