Show geolocation ip on map

Is there any script or code which can...

Take my ips (listed), find its geo location and plot them on a map ?

Basically I want to see where my vps are idling around the globe....

Free is good, but I am ok with paid option too

Geoip tools aren't very accurate. Some services use databases that aren't as frequently updated as others, and some providers can't be bothered to contact the various database maintainers and request that they update the info for their IPs.

With that said, you can add 25 IPs here for free: https://www.maxmind.com/en/geoip-demo/

Maxmind is probably the better of the geoip options.

I made pcap map visualizer in 2015.
It takes a tcpdump output file, and displays the IP on the map.
You could run tcpdump and ping each of your server, and then visualize the packet trace using this tool.

WhatRoute is a network diagnostic utility designed for Apple Macintosh computers. Primarily it provides a Traceroute function, but can also perform Ping, Domain Name Service queries, Whois queries and monitor the traffic to and from your computer. The software also uses a Geo-Location service to provide a geographical view of the paths that packets from your computer take as they traverse the Internet.

  • Thanks all. I am no developer.. but would love to take a step towards plotting a latitude longitude combo on a map area and host it...

    Any pointers to get started?
