Seeking clarity - Calendar Invites - DirectAdmin - Shared Hosting
Hi,
Just wondering what are my options to sync/ manage a calendar in Shared hosting DirectAdmin account...
Basically, if someone sends an meeting invite via email (to my domain hosted on DirectAdmin), where can I find that calendar to see my schedule? How can I manage the invites (accept/ deny/ reschedule etc)?
I am completely clueless in this... I want to make sure I keep a track of my meeting invites I receive on that email...
Thanks!

DirectAdmin is not an exchange service or something like that. You would need to setup something else to manage calendaring, perhaps nextcloud is a good idea? You can add your mail account to nextcloud, and if the hoster has the propfind and put http methods enabled you can use caldav to sync your calendar that is embedded in nextcloud to anywhere.
Alternative would be to just use your local calendar on a phone for example or set something else up like a vps with kopano(zarafa) or something like office 365/gsmtp
Calendly dot com. You set times you are available, others can select date + time. Sync with google or calendar of your choice.
Well, how can I sync it with this shared hosting account?
Nextcloud seems an overkill I think... thnx
You can add Kolab Calendar in Directadmin Roundcube, it will do what you want, but unfortunately only If you use RoundCube
That is function that actually very small percentage of customers use (at least from mine) it less that 0.2% (yes zero point 2 percent) so I decide to install them personal one on a subdomain http://www.baikal-server.com/
That’s a cool project, this would be a nice choice i think op
you could add a nextcloud install, use their calendar plugin. This way you can send out invites and people can accept them. you can also import calendars from ical feeds,...
then if you want people to be able to book themselves into your schedule, there is a "reservation" plugin for that. But if i remember correctly, you have to specify time slots for that.
One way is self installed appointments app. Available via softaculous.
Create a subdomain (e.g. calendar.domain.tld )
or folder
domain.tld/calendar
and install. Follow the basic configurations in the link below. You can send this link to your clients/ users.
Once someone books an appointment,
you will get email notification. Which I believe is what you are looking for.
