Which web server and DB are you using for your installation?
Nginx vs Lite speed enterprise vs Apache, and maybe some other?

How to protect clientexec from brute force attacks?

  • Litespeed + MariaDB ?

  • Classic apache & mysql. You will never reach traffic levels to venefit from other solutions and their complexity.

We utilize LiteSpeed Web Server w/ MariaDB on our shared/reseller hosting servers - and have found Clientexec to work well within this environment.

That being said, I've noticed that some of our VPS customers have also installed it with CyberPanel, which is based on LiteSpeed Web Server as well.

Upto 10,000 hits/ hr go with Apache, don't overthink.
Above that OpenLite speed or Lite speed Ent. you may give a thought ...

Nginx as a Reverse Proxy for Apache + MariaDB is good enough unless you do get serious traffic and you will required different solution as LiteSpeed will not help if hardware specs are not great! So in this case I agree with MikeIn.

  • I'm using Tinycp with Apache, I tried nginx from tinycp as well but I find clientexec loads faster on apache. I'm using default configuration from tinycp.
