Not sure why OVH or Scaleway or other reasonably priced French providers don't have presence in it. Is it an expensive place for hosting? or presence in Paris is enough?

I tried comparing if a pop in Marseille makes sense, for my route optimizer to APAC.
Turns out, no, would be just money burn.

Latency wise Frankfurt or Paris was lower, compared to Marseille, measured from Singapore.

Don't know if it applies in your use case, but Paris is cheap 1.99€ and up.

(a) Keep in mind that France is very Paris focused/centristic.
(b) Marseille is the landing point for quite some submarine cables, incl. one of the best to Asia.
(c) The distance to Lyon (where quite a few DCs (and companies~customers) are) as well as to even Paris isn't significant (in terms of fibers).
(d) Seen from most of France Marseille is a peripheral DC location.

If you are hunting for milliseconds in latency have a look at Lyon which is much closer than Paris and seems to have somewhat more in terms of providers.

Sorry but no, "Game" => OVH, also Anti-DDoS allant jusqu'à 500 Gbps => OVH until proven otherwise.

Thanks for @Neoon's recommendation but we don't have any available capacity here too.

From our monitoring, traffic towards Marsillie is quite little and you can also serve them from Milan or Paris. The difference is < 10ms.

I just knew that Oracle Cloud has launched Marseille region not so long ago.

I tried to grab a VM but unfortunately, neither AMD nor Ampere available, only Intel.
