Use https://winstall.app/ + official, native Windows Package Manager.
I think many people are unaware that winget (Windows Package Manager) is a thing. Just like on linux.
Example:
winget install vscode

Thanks, I didn't know either of these. I have been gone from the windows scene since windows vista. I am not a linux guru, not close to it, but I have been using Linux on my machines for quite a few years, and so I don't know many things about windows any more.
I use it when I'm setting up a new Windows install.
I've used it a lot too. Pretty good - does exactly what it says it does.
Didn't realize they put out a 1.0 a few months ago. Time to check them out.
Ninite is the best. Been using it for a long time. Their updater app is well worth it.
