Another Request for a Tokyo VPS
Hello! It's been nine months since my last request for a Tokyo VPS, and something has changed...
GreenCloudVPS has been satisfying my Chinese and Iranian friends' needs well for quite a long time, but since June, their Tokyo datacenter has been reported to be frequently blocked by China, thus they need to change to another provider, but without much luck... So I came back for help by having another request.

Take a look at WebHosting24?

@seriesn with NexusBytes is your calling!
Thanks for recommendation! I'll call on my friends to have them tested. Hopefully it is not NTT, or at least it performs well at night for them.
Unfortunately, this is NTT.
If you need non NTT, you can only find providers in Japan or China.
@Ed_Chd @seriesn Tokyo LG isn't showing NTT.

why must be tokyo, no osaka?
Its NTT too.
@randvegeta with HK VPS good enough?
Japanese providers often requires to purchase with JPY, ordering may require manned help, and their websites are all in Japanese...
I was thinking of purchasing Kagoya VPS, but they don't have a looking glass.
For Chinese providers, according to my friends, their incentives are always either deceive for money or solely for collecting user data for their National Security Department, so they are actively avoiding Chinese providers.
Latency to Osaka isn't as good as to Tokyo (most traceroute tests took by them shows that it must be routed to Tokyo first).
conoha?
Conoha has a reputation for blindly banning VPS servers used for proxying, even privately used.
But still, thank you for your recommendation!
Tests on the night before seems almost acceptable. If they can have a good result tonight, I'll help them get WebHosting24.
But I still hope there is another provider that can provide VPS servers that are non-NTT...
I have a conoha server, but my friend in China says the network is too bad

If you don't mind the price, you can choose the Osaka Softbank VPS of BandwagonHost, which is used by many Chinese.
$46.7/quarter, 1G / 1C / 20g SSD, 1T traffic @ 2.5Gbps bandwidth
probably you can stalk mudfish and purchase their cheapest option, just to check which vps provider works best by using their full VPN.
I tried to register for Conoha, but I still cannot receive the SMS verification code! Try to contact their support team, but their announcement says it's summer vacation! Japanese cloud service providers are really weird!
I personally don't have good experience in conoha, webarena, etc. for mid - heavy traffic usage, since they just throttle it instead of sending warning first.
So even you have only like few mins burst, they throttle the speed to 10kBps or so for 24 hours.
Here I remember Cloudsigma, for around 10.4 USD, the bandwidth is 1 TB (only out?), good thing is you will get DYNAMIC IP, which helps from GFW blocking. you will need a little more time on registration, accounts for specific locations are independent...
https://www.cloudsigma.com/pricing/
Paying more than 10 USD, you can get free 1 G RAM,50 GB Disk and 1 TB bandwidth.
And from your descriptions, guess you're good at Linux & Proxy building, personally recommend you switch to V2ray over TLS with an actual website or simply Trojan-Go, they are the new popular ones, this will pack your traffics as https, it will be faster and more difficult to be recognized by GFW.
If it was shadowsocksR or simple V2ray you used on Greenvpscloud VM, you can go on using their VM, pay Monthly, built your proxies on Trojan-GFW/Trojan-Go.
Using Trojan helps me a lot, have not gotten blocked even once.
https://github.com/trojan-gfw/trojan
https://github.com/p4gefau1t/trojan-go
You can also find some one key shell for building this, check before using and it's easy.
Your friends are so lucky, they have you a such kind and helpful fellow.
I use proxies provided from a websites, they switch to Trojan instead of ShadowsksR during 4th June of 2020, while GFW blocked almost all my other providers' servers. Here proxy providers are called "机场“ (airports). Problems are, most are not trustworthy enough and often they run off during servicing and customers can't get their money back
And for your Iranian friends, there is a good backup choice, gives free low speed service:
https://geph.io/en/ 800kbps unlimited bandwidth
As said in your previous thread, GreenCloudVPS is the only provider that offers cheap Japan VPS with acceptable network to China on this forum. Other providers are either barely usable or out of your budget.
There really aren’t any good choices under the budget of $200/yr, if you ask for TBs of bandwidth, 200Mbps port and good network connections to China.
BandwagonHost has Oskasa Japan servers which use softbank networks, way better than GreenCloudVPS by all means, but it’s about $170/yr. It’s not listed on their website. You need account first to see those hidden VPS plans.
Also check out FDCservers. I saw some Chinese people disscuss it so it might have good network to China.
It seems that it is difficult to have other options except GreenCloud. Local merchants in Japan are basically not open for registration, and other hosting providers mostly use NTT lines! If you just consider the agency problem, you can buy BandwagonHost's agency service! Don't worry about IP being blocked by GFW, IP will be replaced automatically, all lines are optimized in China!

Thanks for the offer, but JustMySocks cannot be used for more than 10 people which spread in two countries if within reasonable price. Also, for their own safety, I got the servers prepared for the worst conditions that only Geph can provide the same, which is not applicable if either server or the client switch to Shadowsocks. They are commercial services for speed, not for safety.
Thanks for your recommendation! I'll notify them to also have a test on CloudSigma.
And no, Trojan won't suffice. The servers are using V2Ray because it is the only solution which has a built-in routing function. Also I hook and configure V2Ray to CoreDNS and DNSCrypt-Proxy to force secure DNS requests. None of them could be used on any other variant.
As what I know Trojan is kind of similar as V2ray+ws+TLS with an actual website. Guess you can still achieve this with V2ray.
I purchased an Osaka VM from Greencloudvps, and the IP (IPV4) was already blocked, IPV6 was OK. Then I built trojan on it and only used IPV6. 1 months later the IPV4 was released.
In this case, I assume GFW is blind to this mode.
Hope it can help.
I'm now resorting to Singapore, since I lost all my hopes in Japan...
Still, thanks, everyone!
