I can't log in, the password is wrong, I use the password managed by LastPass, I'm sure pwd correct, but I still try to reset the password, then there seems to be a problem, am I the only one who does this?

    what

  • I also can’t login in their control panel anymore.

    It says

The email address and password combination does not exist.

And I am also using the same usual password with a password manager.

@hosthatch @HostHatch_Kelvin I think something is wrong with your auth system.

  • I'm hitting the same issue.

Well that's one way to reduce the number of tickets opened. You can't open a ticket if you can't log in!

Looks like the TLS certificate for their WHMCS subdomain expired today: https://portal.hosthatch.com/. I'm surprised that this wasn't caught by monitoring, as it's common to have alerts for certificate expiry 60, 30, 14, 7 and 3 days before expiry.

    Screenshot: https://d.sb/2021/06/firefox_24-23.44.01.png

Their custom portal still uses WHMCS's API in the backend, so it's likely having difficulties communicating with WHMCS because of the expired certificate.

Not monitoring but Sectigo/Reseller vendor surely sent expiry notification which they didn't bother to open.

Hopefully this is just a one-off and not a sign of deadpool.

  • A sign of deadpool?

    Deadpool? Another provider?

  • Seems to be fine now. I was able to log in and server details seem to load fine.

The opposite.. thwy just have a software issue.. you can say they deadpool when a lot of user have downtime for almost two months and the provider sold ip range and their hardware and harddisk instead for solving their harddisk stock issue..

  • Hi, We have fixed the login issue so you can now login to manage.hosthatch.com. It was an internal SSL certificate issue on our side and not related to your account. We are very sorry for the inconvenience caused. Sincerely, Emil J. HostHatch Support
