Service that receives email over HTTP?
Is there a service that can receive inbound emails for a domain, and then send the contents of the received email to a HTTP endpoint?
I don't want to maintain a separate SMTP server, so things like https://github.com/alash3al/smtp2http is out of consideration. Mailgun has it too, but the $35 plan is too expensive for what's essentially a side project.

I have used https://www.sparkpost.com/ for this type of service - please note that this option is configured via API not from control panel. The documentation is very comprehensive and you will find all information that you need.
Google App Engine Inbound Mail
Build a Free SMS Robot with Google Voice
SparkPost Relay Webhook

Search for 'email piping' term. you'll find info and tutorials.
I did something like that many years ago with cPanel on a free webhosting service.
Email messages would be automatically forwarded to another address on that webhost subdomain, then contents were automatically processed by a PHP script using cPanel tools.
There are other methods, if you own a VPS you're not limited.
I use CloudMailin
@stevewatson301 This should work for you https://forwardemail.net/en/faq#do-you-support-webhooks
It's free as long as you are fine with your end point visible in your domain's TXT records. If you want to hide your end point (and any other forwarders), you will need to pay $3/mo.
Forward Email works well and source code available if you want to host it yourself.
