Does anyone know is there any monitoring tool which will automatically send notifications and alerts to us if the server was down. Any free tool?

Hi you can try Hetrixtools is best
There's HetrixTools and UptimeRobot.
HetrixTools for monitoring resources usages too, Freshping as UptimeRobot alternative. Both have 1 minute intervals option whereas UptimeRobot requires a premium plan.
uptimerobot, betteruptime, hetrixtools, statuscake, etc. personally, I use uptimerobot.
Upvote for Hetrixtools!
You can also look at NewRelic
NodePing
Hi, I'm new here. Thank you for the information!
Or you can host your own script

and Hetrixtools also
We use a mix of HetrixTools, uptime robot and modeling. .
When all 3 fails, our folks will wake up even if they are in their graves.
I'm currently using a mix of HetrixTools and FreshPing for both monitoring both personal and company systems. Have also used NIXStats, but after the recent announcement of them being acquired by WebPros (the same firm who owns cPanel, WHMCS and the like) I wasn't willing to have yet another main service I rely on in my daily operations increase the overall cost of doing business. Overall there are multiple different monitoring services out there, so as long as you find one that fits your requirements then you'll be good to go in terms of monitoring
I love Zabbix if you want to self-host. Otherwise Hetrix is a great choice.
