Announcing IP Block with Cloud Providers

0x650x65 Member

Hello, I have a couple of free /22 blocks on RIPE. Now, as some cloud providers like VULTR, BuyVM etc. offer BGP feature, I want to now is there a way to use my own blocks with their VMs.

Is it possible to setup a virtual router (like Mikrotik) inside a VM and distribute my own IP range via this virtual router to other VMs directly?

As an example, AWS offers this kind of service. You can announce a /24 on one of their locations and distribute the IP addresses via VPC or directly with Elastic IPs.

    Yes.

You get one VM with public interface and put all others only with private interface.

I announce most of my v6 blocks this way with a French ISP. I'll DM you the host.
