    The network is properly getting overloaded from hundreds of people running YABS or other benchmark tests. I bet it'll go down in the next couple days/weeks after the people get done running them and Contabo does some tweaking.

    Update. All of my vps speed are back to normal (~150Mbps). Seems everyone are finished speed test. :D

    Because HE is not doing SGIX properly (prefer HKIX) and Contabo is not present at all.

    Actually that's quite fast. SGP - LON - SGP round trip in just about 200 ms.
    But of course that's not what you wanted. You wanted SGP - SGP, and one might wonder why it turned into the weird via LON round trip. Major part of the answer: the provider or carrier routing via one of their main hubs which just so happens to be thousands of miles away.

    Plus, Viewquest, your provider, routing your traffic via 132.147.112.88, not only adding about 160 ms but handing it to HE to push it back to SGP. And btw, it seems that 132.147.112.88 is in Europe.

    What is Contabo supposed to do about that? Call Viewquest and offer them a "routing for dummies" intro?
    And from HE I'd like to know how they do FR, Marseille to SGP in about 1 ms.

    Seems like those are asymmetric routes and the return path for all routers is going via London. That explains why even the first Singapore<->Hong Kong hop is 166ms instead of 30ms.

    @mijora and all others who faced issues with Viewqwest: Our network team managed to work on these with Viewqwest and they should be resolved now.

    there seems to be some form of DDOS happening currently, all 3 of my servers are basically unable to receive data via multiple ISP's in Australia :(

    All vps down and Contabo support said it may be ISP routing problem. I don't know if their monitoring their vps node? :|

    i'm on telstra (as1221) in western australia, and despite what i thought, my ping is about 100ms worse to singapore than it is to my other vps in dusseldorf. looking at a traceroute, it seems the ping is fine (well it could be better if telstra routing made sense), but then around HE it seems to die. what's the deal?

    Get an SGIX port. Like everybody else. Or the routes whitelisted on HEs port.

    Welcome to HE Asia. The most crappy carrier you can use. Even Cogent with their only pop in HK is better. Even China Unicom has better peak hour speed.

    I have tried contabo SSD vps in 2018, vps was awesome but after hosting 100-200 websites vps goes slow. Disk I/O shows 70-100mbps.
    Then i leave contabo and moved to hetzner cloud, there i got 1gbps+ Disk I/O in NVMe SSD.
    Then something 1 year ago, in April 2020 i purchased one SSD vps from Contabo to check their speed is fine now or not, again i didn't get more disk I/O, Disk I/O is always less than 150MBPs.

    Now some months ago, something 1-2 months ago. A client purchased vps from me for their food delivery app. After using VPS for 5-10 days they reported that server response time is slow or some issue in server because it takes 10-15 seconds to load data from server. So after 1 month client leave our services and purchased a vps from hostinger he given proof, in hostinger vps it took only 1-2 second or maximum 3 second to load data from the server. However he didn't shown disk i/o but his speed improved after shifting to hostinger.

    If you want a VPS at low cost for hosting one or two websites or want for personal usage you can use contabo but never use it for production usage. Contabo is slow, disk i/o is soo low. seems they're filling up too much vps than capacity into a single node.

    I ordered a ent. Hdd vps from a company and i got 150-200mbps disk I/O . So ent. Hdd disk I/O is more than contabo's SSD.

    and one more thing, I'm not confirm but it gives me feeling that contabo is responsible. Some VPS got hacked on contabo please note I'm not sure it's Contabo's mistake or clients mistake. My friend ordered 2 vps from Contabo for selling hosting. One client purchased a vps hosting from my friend and my friend given him by taking from Contabo. the client hosted a wordpress website containing a nulled plugin. My friend knows and my friend said to client that if we received any abuse then we suspend your server.
    Some days later, that client's server got hacked and all data erased from his vps. and when we open their IP then it shows server got hacked. But the client have backup so he ready vps again and uploaded backup. After some days vps got hacked again.
    Then the client said change his IP or his vps. and the client's billing date is coming so my friend purchased a vps from Hetzner and given to client. The vps didn't got hacked till now. I don't understand what's the issue. But my friend is keep blaming contabo.

    Personally I'm not trying to defame contabo, i still use contabo for small works.

    I have this experience too. I asked the I/O limit unlock. I have more than 1 GBps read and write speeds for some hours, but I checked a few years later and the speed was capped.
    Now, I have same speed as another vPS in another DC at Contabo, where the I/O unlock never asked...

    I think the SSD speed limit is not the best point of the Contabo, but this config for 5 Eur is very useful. I have 500--600 single core and 1800--2200 multi core Geekbench5 results so I very sattisfied with them.

    Except the SSD speed, the support is very fast and useful.

    I was getting 20MB/s read speed on my databases on a M server, tried on a L and getting 600MB/s so I am upgrading, hopefully it will move nods
