I would suggest Proxmox! Are you looking to offer KVM?

Learn web development. Make websites for local businesses. Do some of their IT. When you graduate, you'll have experience and clients to start a business you can sell to the public.

Proxmox + ProxCP, that's what I'm running and it seems to work well so far, but I'd suggest working with local companies first, then offering VPS once you have more time/startup capital.
