You can go here and check if you can ping their IPv6 address from your network.

@EThomas said: And why would you sell servers, cheap or not, that you cannot connect to?

Did you check if you have IPv6 connectivity? If you do send them a MTR detailing where the connection is failing. If you don't, it's not Hosterlabs' problem.

How would I know the ipv6 address to ping prior to purchase?

In addition, the inability to ping the address is fairly new. Two days ago it was installing to OS, then a day ago it was the OS not behaving properly.

So again, how to request a refund?

  • @EThomas said: How would I know the ipv6 address to ping prior to purchase?

Did you bother to check the looking glass I linked to?

Are you with Hosterlabs tech support?

No but he's with LET Support.

If you're looking for Hosterlabs Tech Support, create a ticket directly with them.

    Been there and done that.

  • Hello Thomas,

We have been giving you support that we normally do not offer and wasted a lot of support hours. If you do not know how to use a service, please do not order it. At least have at bit of patience. We offer a service, we are not a school.

You encountered a BUG on the system that we reported to the developers, so yes, you can complain we took 24 hours to give you your service and troubleshoot the bug. This has been escalated and some developers are working on this.

While we do love to teach our users how to use IPv6, we require your patience. We can teach you how to do so, but respectfully and with tolerance. We are happy to offer a refund.

The server was installed properly and it is working fine, but you can not access it.

PLEASE READ WHAT IS ON READ ON OUR PAGE:
These servers are IPv6 and only IPv6. We can not add any IPv4 to this servers. Make sure to check you can connect to them by testing your network prior! Also, the support on this servers is not our standard support. Expect 20min-2hrs response times for emergencies and up to 3 working days for non-emergencies.

    Best Regards,
    Jacobo

    Thanked by 2yoursunny stdeyna
  • P.D. To check for IPv6 connectivity you just had to visit IPV6.GOOGLE.COM or type: Do I have ipv6 connectivity? on any search engine.

    Best Regards.

  • @EThomas said: Are you with Hosterlabs tech support?

I don't work for Hosterlabs and I don't have any services with them. This thread has been up since 01/18 and those plans are now sold out. Therefore, many people must have bought them. Non connectivity is a major issue and yet I see only you complaining about it on this thread. Where do you think the problem is?

I gave you some simple pointers to check if you had IPv6 connectivity since that would be the most obvious reason for non-connectivity given that these servers were advertised as IPv6 only. Neither did you provide a MTR, nor a ping to the looking glass. Not reading/understanding the warning on the order page and failing to check IPv6 connectivity prior to purchase is not Hosterlabs' fault.

    Thanked by 1Hosterlabs
  • @Hosterlabs support has been solid and is the fastest VPS out of all others , for me

  • @EThomas

You should do some readings first, don't be such an ignorant.

@Hosterlabs I have orderd a GermanVPS of 2C2G last month, and paid by annually, it's $18 per year, the Next Due Date is 2022-01-20, but seems generate an invoice of $1.84 now? it show as "20 Jan 2021 - 31 Jan 2021", and in the Cloud panel, it show as "Your account has been locked. Some features are not available." :(

in the WHMCS, my vps show as $18 Annually, but at the same time, in the Cloud Panel, the vps show as "$5.40 per month $0.0075 per hour".

it seems both the WHMCS and your Cloud Panel are simultaneous and double billing?

Correct. We will solve that during working hours, your server should still be on :)

Still not resolved? although the invoice been canceled, but the vps now show as "Status: locked" in SolusIO Panel, and it's down...when I try to start it, it show as "This action is unauthorized."

I think you should resolve this issue immediately, because it already caused the vps unavailable.

  • Great offer, but I am late, that's too bad

This is not related to that. We are working with Solus.IO to fix that particular issue.

That was an unrelated issue that we posted on our network status page.

Oh no we are going more "budget" this time with our own equipment. Getting 10Gbit internet is crazy expensive because it's dedicated. And most people do not really need it at all, it's just a nice number but unnecessary for most.

Decided to run another yabs now that I've had the machine for ~3 months.
Disk and CPU is slower than before, guess the machine utilization has gone up and the neighbors are more noisy. Steal is around 3-8% but it seems that the network has also gotten worse :(
