how does hetzner auctions work?
what is the time left for? when time reaches 0 the server is only available for that price? while the time is running the server can increase or decrease price, is that it?
or does it work like ebay, where the highest bidder gets the server?

They lower the price a tiny tiny bit when timer hits zero. You keep the price you buy for.
The price drops each time the counter hits 0 until either someone buys it at whatever price it's at, or it's hits a pre-determined "lowest" value.
