jahrincjahrinc Member
edited December 2020 in General

Hello,

Looking for a VPS with the following specs:

  • 4 vCores (shared is fine) minimum
  • 4-6 GB Ram
  • 100 GB SSD/NVME
  • 4TB Bandwidth minimum
  • Important: Lowest ping possible to BuyVM's LUX (104.244.76.191)
  • Be able to upgrade later on the specs!

No set budget.

    normally the CPU is shared unless you do have more than $7 p/m budget for dedicated

    I know but it doesn't hurt to specify it!

    Hey buddy,
    If 14ms is good enough, come join us in London :). Our vps-4G should be decent :)

    Hello,

    We are launching a new service for Germany, nearby where you need it. Feel free to test it out:

    http://hosterlabs.net/panel/index.php?m=solusio

    I do not think we meet your space requirements because it is NVMe raid 1, but they are excellent CPU's Ryzen hexacores .... 1Gbps uplink and unmetered bandwidth.

    We have the following spec which would be suitable in Frankfurt:

    • 4 core (Intel E227* series 3.6ghz+)
    • 4gb ECC RAM
    • 100gb NVMe ssd
    • 10tb bandwidth
    • 1 x IPv4, /64 IPv6

    Just spun up a test VM and getting the following ping responses to BuyVMs test IPs

    PING 104.244.76.191 (104.244.76.191) 56(84) bytes of data.
    64 bytes from 104.244.76.191: icmp_seq=1 ttl=54 time=5.86 ms
    64 bytes from 104.244.76.191: icmp_seq=2 ttl=54 time=5.80 ms
    64 bytes from 104.244.76.191: icmp_seq=3 ttl=54 time=5.76 ms
    64 bytes from 104.244.76.191: icmp_seq=4 ttl=54 time=5.73 ms

    and

    PING 2605:6400:0030:fdd5::1(2605:6400:30:fdd5::1) 56 data bytes
    64 bytes from 2605:6400:30:fdd5::1: icmp_seq=1 ttl=54 time=8.87 ms
    64 bytes from 2605:6400:30:fdd5::1: icmp_seq=2 ttl=54 time=8.93 ms
    64 bytes from 2605:6400:30:fdd5::1: icmp_seq=3 ttl=54 time=8.90 ms
    64 bytes from 2605:6400:30:fdd5::1: icmp_seq=4 ttl=54 time=8.78 ms

    We could do the above spec for £17.50/month (ex VAT, if applicable). These are upgradable - but note if disk is increased in can't be decreased. Let me know if you're interested and I'll sort out an order link for the lower price :)

    Can't offer those sub 10ms latencies, but if ~16ms would still be fine I could offer you something that might be slightly lighter on your wallet than other offers here.

    16 packets transmitted, 16 received, 0% packet loss, time 15019ms

    Would recommend

    Is upgradable but i never did it, but it seems easy enough, with i think no need to contact support.

    And the support is amazing (emails were responded to within 20 mins) For that price this VPS is just amazing
    And they have telephone support ( never used it, emails were more convenient to me, and i would only use it in case of a emergency, which i have yet to have one, so far i think 3 months, no downtime, only restarted the server a few times and did os reinstalls ( one click))

    They have Intel Xeon and AMD epyc. İ had a vps from them. I got an Intel cpu but I opened a ticket. I said I want to switch to amd cpu. And they moved my vps in 15 minutes. İ used them 3 months. Never had an issue.

    Personally I find the new AMD cpus like Ryzen 9 and AMD EPYC a lot faster than the intel ones.
