I was gonna ask the same 😂 I remember Joomla being like swiss cheese - full of holes, ready to be exploited..

  • Good way to build up some visibility. In case someone is looking for Joomla specifically, this post might come up sooner.

  • Enlightening me, what exactly is the use case of Joomla ? Rather than using Wordpress or Magento, or you know write from scratch with whatever framework is trending.

Hello, perhaps now sites are no longer created on Joomla, but many still do not want to migrate to other CMS due to the fact that they are used to the administrative panel.

Yes, WordPress and Joomla are the market leaders thanks to the free CMS.
Their downside is that in case of some problems, you have to look for a responsible person to manage the site.

There is a market for each content management system.

    WordPress is the clear leader.
    Others like
    Drupal
    Joomla
    Magento

each have less than 3 or 4 percent market share.

Wikipedia I think lists over 50 CMS, many of which probably have less than 100,000 installs. But very active communities. Whatcms has a list of over 350 CMS

Not the ideal analogy, but imagine WordPress to be windows, either of Joomla/Drupal /Magento to be Mac, rest as Linux distributions.

Yes, WordPress outstands hosted sites compare to Joomla, but I think each platform has it's own pros and cons, also depends on user purposes, because WordPress is very popular, your sites can be targeted by hackers and technology theft.

    Hello,

I agree that every CMS has pros and cons but no CMS offers you a 100% security guarantee. In order to be better protected, it is necessary to order a server management service for the site, but here is the second question, if the site really deserves additional investments.
