Questionable disk speed in an idle VPS
Basically at some point of times in the past I grabbed 1 SSD KVM box from here and used it to host a static website, so almost no disk I/O.
I did a double check on it a couple of days ago, and here is the disk speed.

I/O Speed(2nd run) : 13.2 MB/s
I/O Speed(3rd run) : 82.1 MB/s
Average I/O speed : 34.0 MB/s

Then I tried yabs.

My static site works fine on a shared hosting with 5MB/s I/O. Maybe you should switch to a shared hosting so you don't have to worry about benchmark results.
It's not about the static site or its performance. That box is just another idling box, I just don't know why the speed is so low. And then another disk test after it goes back to normal.
People got the same idea as you and tried to YABS it at the same time? 🤷♂️
The 2 tests are about 5 min away from each other. Also it's not from a new promo or anything.
