I can't decide Nginx+php-fpm or Nginx Reverse proxy+Apache

Learned webserver with Apache
My recent years was with Nginx alone only.

With new BF servers, wondering if I should stick Nginx only or try Nginx Reverse proxy+Apache ..

Running 2-3 PHP sites... framework-less, Laravel, Codeiginiter etc.

already thrown out of windows years ago haha

  • bought 2core/ 4gb ram nvme.
heard good things about mysql 8, should i migrate my mariaDB databases back?

  • If you have to stick with legacy programs/htaccess etc. go with Apache.
For Laravel/CI/Symfony etc. just use nginx since they only require rewriting to index.php

no need apache, nginx can fully replace apache including .htaccess and nginx is far more better than apache, about database server keep with mariadb it more advanced.

for paid solution, use litespeed, it compatible with apache .htaccess and same performance with nginx.

Doesn't litespeed provide better performance than nginx?
