    Amazon Prime?

"Unlimited, full-resolution photo storage included with Prime"

But at $12.99/mo probably only cost-effective if you already have Prime for other reasons.

The thing is don't know much about self hosting methods.

Many solutions out there to make yourself comfortable with. DIY or hire someone to make it for you.

Just look up nextcloud. Get an VPS and with snap it's pretty straightforward to install. (Even tho I hate snap to begin)

Also more the thing is, you don't want to Save your important family photo on lowend bf storage server, at least you need to have 3 backup of it.

You never know your neighbor. Fbi could raid the server at anytime. You got fucked up because some one else mistake.

If you were wanting to go down the VPS route, we offer a "setup service" for Nextcloud on our storage VPS line. It just adds a setup fee to the service and then we'll setup everything for you ready to use - we can even use a subdomain for you if you don't have your own domain.

Our range is available here: https://console.vmspecialist.com/order/main/packages/order/?group_id=5 and LES33 gives 33% off up to 2tb.

These are self managed, you get full access to manage the VPS via the login area. Including noVNC access, custom ISO uploads, power control, etc.
They're hosted at Hetzner in Helsinki, Finland (test IP).

In terms of the setup, it's a one off fee and we'll setup NextCloud including any webserver config required, and then when ready we'll supply you with all the login details for both the server and NextCloud. We'll assist as much as possible in any data migrations that might be required too. All you'd need to let us know is if you have a domain you want to use or need a subdomain from us.

If you have your own backup space we can set up a regular backup process but otherwise this is up to you.

Alternatively we can offer a managed NextCloud service (including backups) but that obviously costs more.

    Hope that helps.

How much data are we talking about?

I personally host mine on BackBlaze (got my desktops, laptops, all connected on it)

Check out G Cloud Backup from Zoolz at $3/m for unlimited storage for 5 mobile devices. This is what I will end up with instead of Google Photos if don't get a VPS or NAS at home.

Agree but I'd have backups even if it's on the most premium server on the planet.
