Recommend please a data center in Germany

Hello!
We really want to place our equipment in Germany, preferably in the city of Frankfurt.
Please advise a data center where colocation is not expensive, the announcement of our IP is allowed, the Internet is not counted by traffic.

  • Maybe first-colo.net can fit your needs. They host many providers

  • If representatives of data centers want to make us an offer, write us payments[@]pq.hosting

    Hetzner?

@seriesn had some trouble, but worth a consideration.

You're joking, right? Hetzner colo is 100eur/m for 2TB bw. Power costs not included, not even 1 amp included.

Generally speaking hetzner is considered the cheapest for renting a server.. it's a strange juxtaposition to see them considered expensive (in relation to colo). So yeah, half joking, half tongue-in-cheek commentary, half stupid off-the-cuff comment typical to 90% of the shit I post :)

  • Yeah I'm not sure why they happily provide unmetered gbit to a $30 dedicated server but a $150 colo gets 2TB. Per-TB paid overages, no power included - you pay every single watt on top, no free remote hands (about $100/hr), large setup fee.

It almost sounds like they don't really want people to colo there, and if they're desperate enough to pay the premium, they can and it's a win-win.

This makes a lot of sense not wanting to deal with random bespoke customer hardware and covid-visits when your entire core business is built around tight full automation of your own hardware, automated installs, etc.

It's cheap to rent, but not for the service we're looking for.
