Advice as to do with article publishing

Hello,
So i'm setting up a site that will be fully static except that i plan to host some articles on there as well. So what's the best way to go about this? Is it to just setup a subdomain and run wordpress on there making a matching wordpress theme? These articles will be on a separate page. Or any other ideas?

Thanks! Hopefully this is understandable

Google “static site generator” (Hugo, Jekyll, Pelican, many others). No need for Wordpress if it’s completely static.

Not clear what “static except articles” means.

He needs a static landing page for his product, service etc and a CMS for publishing some SEO articles or stuff like that. He's wondering what's the best practice to do it.

Should the website use a static generator for both landing page and blog or a static landing page for showcasing + a cms for blogging. Should the blog be putting in the subfolder of the domain root, or using a subdomain? He's seeking answers for those questions.
