Comments
Do you have any picture, about how they're racked? What about heat dissipation?
I have 7 finger choppers (Delta Fans) blowing across all of the RPIs. They are sitting on rubber mats.

Just for you!
Should the "8GB Ram/16GB Drive" on the web site actually say "8GB Ram/256GB Drive" instead?
Also, I am always wondering what the recovery options are for these things. What happens if the device doesn't boot any more (after a kernel upgrade or whatever)? Access to serial console/boot from network?
Ah yes, Good catch. I will fix that.
At that point. Will need to put a ticket in. We will perform a hard reset on the POE to power cycle the device. If it still doesn't come up then will need to swap out the SD card.
Is it /64 block for IPv6?
how long is setup?
@cmeerw fixed.
I don't know you anymore. This Alien changed its shape
Didn't you know Aliens are shape shifters?!
Same people. We just operate under Data Ideas Brand. Still have the same awesome products and new ones coming soon!
I know Josh. Just trying to lighten up the mood haha. Loving the minimalist approach.
What are these 256 drives?
A particular brand of USB3.0 flash?
The Raspberry Pi uses SD cards. Its either a 16GB or a 256GB version.
@DataIdeas-Josh What hats are you using for the fans on the Pis?
Also no LET Special promo
Though $5 is already some crazy good pricing. Hardware alone would be break even at 12 months.
It is the Raspberry Pi POE hat.
Wow, amazing pricing. Can you give more info about "Add A Drive" thingy. Those options have * sign but where do I go to read more info about it lol.
I guess I should make the * more clear. Sorry about that. Its just to announce this "Answer: First Month is prorated after the 6th & will be charged the following month."
Thank you everyone!
We are almost sold out. If you are wanting one, two, three, all?! Come now and get it!
It appears the 256GB package is popular. I can get a couple more of them spun up.
There is 16GB versions still available.
Could you upload more of that RPi porn? I'am drooling
How about the IO performance of the 16g version?I'm using ikoula's raspberry Pie 4 with 16 GB SD card, its IO performance is very poor.
Alien vps? Looks great, digression: do you have anything to do with Area 51? ? ?
That can really depend on the SD cards they are using. We are using Class 10 / Up to 80MBps speeds SanDisk Ultra MicroSDHC UHS-I
Hmm maybe
I move some cards around as the 256GB were going like hot cakes.
As of this posting time there is the following left!
2 - Raspberry Pi 4 - 4GB Ram/16GB Drive
3 - Raspberry Pi 4 - 4GB Ram/256GB Drive
I purchased a mini-vps in dataideas, the status is pending....
All orders are manually setup. I am working on them as we speak. Thank you for waiting.
Hmm would compute module 4 allow more dence layout?
Yes, although designing a PCB for it and everything is something that I don't know how to do let alone after designing the PCB how would the costs look?!
This is our Discord channel for those that wanna join!

Hello there,
We did exactly that
A PCB room for up to 14 RPIs which had support for remote reboot and console access to all RPIs. Reboot and Console was controlled by one of the PIs on the board.
And one could dasiy chain PCBs together via USB to use that one controller RPI on multiple boards.
Unfortunately they changed around the USB and Ethernet ports on the new RPI4, and we have not had the time to redesign it unfortunately. But we do have a few working prototype boards here.
As you can see, it also supports other boards with the same GPIO pins e.g. the NanoPI Fire.
Love your project! If we ever get around to fixing our boards for RPI4 and future models, we'll definitely get in touch.
@terrahost We definitely need to chat as I have some ideas for PCB stuff.
@aglodek We will have more stock on the first of the month. Although better get it quick!
@ChristianTL @Jio This thread might help you better as far as bandwidth usage.
