Maybe it's worth opening a ticket with @qps, but I think they will reply here anyway.

    Quickpacket's good people.

If you're open to Vegas, then Fiberhub is excellent and has GTT on net.

    Francisco

  • Does anyone have ball park figure of what this small colo generally costs?

Also if possible I am looking for one time cross connect fees.

Yes. For example, Phoenix NAP in Phoenix, AZ has a one time charge for cross connects and no monthly costs.

GTT is also available on-net. @BobStot please reach out to us if you would like to consider Phoenix as a location since we're located in Phoenix NAP.

You could also reach out to quotecolo.com with your requirements, you'll end up receiving a lot of proposals which will help you get familiar with the market pricing on each of those locations.

Cross connect cost in some facilities are flexible if the provider is on-net, otherwise, you will in most cases have multiple cross connect fees associated. Really depends on the facility, and what it takes to reach GTT. You could also work with your GTT rep to find out which facilities they're on-net at within those regions.

    Best of luck.

That's misleading as hell tho. Sure $10/u but that's without anything.

    Is it?
Some people don't want power or connection.
Some people just want to use it for storage.
I offer full à la carte options.

@AlienData_Josh and some like the @op clearly state what they need and you still list 10/u yet don't even address the other very specific requirements. Obviously going for the clicks

  • how is this even calculated?

@Unbelievable I know what else they requested. That is why I say "We can give you an IP to test ping".
We ourselfs don't have GTT. However the passoff our network may be quick enough for them. That is why I offer to give them an IP to test a traceroute to see if it would work.

@mezoology It's prorated for the first month. All of our billing is due on the first of each month. "out of curiosity, what the point if no connection or even power?" Some people just want to use it for storage.

We are happy to fully customize a package for someone. Even if we don't show it.

if monthly is 511 and there are no setup fees. Why is 840 due today? Also the storage comment is strange. 10u for storage for 100 a month when I can get a 10 foot by 10 foot storage for 100 in most us cities?

It's prorated for the first month plus the next. ~All of~ our billing is due on the first of each month.

Then it shouldn't include the next full month until November 1st. That's why this confuses the fuck out of people.

Solved by putting service dates covered and the prorated period.

  • Awesome. Seems my discussion was jacked by someone's whmcs product config.

Can someone price check me. The below rates seem reasonable?

    For 10u/10amp colo between $200-$400/month
For monthly x-con to GTT $200-$500/month with low setup fee
For one time x-con about $800 setup fee.

The range seems reasonable on the colo side.

The x-connect cost will vary based on the provider/facility. So one-time setup fees are doable assuming the provider is on-net, and the x-connect is simple. Once you start consuming precious conduit space, whether it's in the same building, multiple floors, several buildings expect to pay an MRC + NRC.

If I win the lottery, I'm gonna rent a 1/4 rack in the data center to store my stinky shoes, instead of keeping them in the gym locker.

  • stinky shoes = fire load

  • No west coast hosting?

If so; is recommend AquaNX their newer datacenter location has been extremely stable and high performance.

assuming your shoes doesn't need power.
