What app for phone? Is it dedicated app of mx route or we can config as we do using pop/imap?
Their official app for phone is MXlogin. Also almost all email client that support IMAP, like Outlook, GMail, Mail, can be used.

can setup own pop/imap in any email client.
My current solution is a cpanel account with which I have created ~400 (and growing) forwarders (to 3 different mailboxes), via API.
I specifically do not want catchall.
