Thank you for your interest in JetBackup 5!
We understand the confusion with regards to support for ANY Control Panel. To clarify, we have built JetBackup 5 with the utmost flexibility in mind and are working on finalizing our Developer Tool Kit that will allow the community and third-party developers to integrate JetBackup 5 on ANY control panel. To add, we are also building support for Plesk and stand-alone Linux machines which we expect to release by 2021!
With that said, the initial EDGE release for JetBackup 5 does only support cPanel and DirectAdmin. We appreciate your feedback and we can't wait to share more information with regards to our Developer tools and other upcoming panel support.

Could JetBackup be used on multi jailed LEMP VPS in pull mode?
Not sure the answer from them would be unbiased
But yes, seems a lot newer than cPanel so I would probably test it a lot more.

We have had great feedback from our ALPHA release that we have proceeded to release it to the EDGE tier (available for both DirectAdmin and cPanel). With that said, we do not recommend installing JetBackup 5 EDGE in production environments. Please check out our official announcement at https://blog.jetapps.com/jetbackup-5-now-on-edge-tier/ for more information and relevant warnings about this release.
And just to clarify @lentro, JetBackup 5 is built to be platform agnostic which allows us to ensure that JetBackup 5 users can expect the same seamless experience between all supported panels and platforms. We do appreciate everyone choosing to use JetBackup 5 on the EDGE tier and looking forward to everyone's feedback!
@hiphiphip0, with regards to your inquiry, support for backups in pull mode is not currently in our roadmap but may I urge you to open up a feature request at https://request.jetapps.com/topic/add/?category_id=5&tags=JetBackup 5 as it helps our team gauge the demand for this feature.
