What specs you looking for and what’s your budget?
Network port speed 100m plus, traffic 1T would be great. 1c CPU and 1G Mem, 20G+ disc size. Budget somewhere below 20 EUR per month.
We have servers in the UK and we have many customers from China using our service. Take a look at our LG (Looking Glass) here http://lg.hostworld.uk - you can also test our network from there.
If everything is okay with the speed test etc our LET Special 1 package should be fine for you:
LET Special 1
1GB RAM
1x vCPU
20GB Storage
FREE 60GB Backup Storage
Unmetered Bandwidth
Fast 1 Gbps Uplink
IPv4 & IPv6
Only £3.69 ($4.61) per month - https://portal.hostworld.uk/cart.php?a=add&pid=69
Give it a test and let me know how you get on? As above we have many happy customers from China using our VPS service, so it may be suited for you . If it’s not, there should be providers here who can help - especially as your budget is strong for the specs you require too.
Thanks. Tested, traffic was routed to U.S. then China.
Check our Lithuania http://lg-lt-eu.bacloud.com/ or Netherlands location: http://lg-nl-eu.bacloud.com/
Ping should go over different way, then USA.
No worries. Thanks for giving it a test anyway. I’m sure you’ll find someone who can help here.
Good luck!
Thank you. Tested but traffic was routed to USA then China.
Since IP routing tables work with IP addresses and not geographic information, would you mind sharing at least the /24 network of the destination you are testing?
For example LiteServer (Looking Glass) has a good network mix including peering via Telia in Amsterdam to China Telecom. Of course you cannot tell through which physical cable your packets will go, but at least the next L3 hop after Telia Amsterdam belongs to China Telecom.
Similiar for First-Root (Looking Glass). Their servers are located in Dusseldorf and routed via Telia Frankfurt to China Telecom. Both are solid providers with good reputation and reliable service.
Yep, I'm mainly focusing on 183.236.6.0/24 113.66.6.0/24 and 160.20.55.0/24
Then feel free to test yourself.
First one goes through the US but the others are routed via China Telecom in Frankfurt or GTT / HE to Hong Kong when testing from First-Root or LiteServer.
Sounds like a reasonable mix for me.
It looks like prometeus has good routing for your first two requirements.
http://lg-milano.prometeus.net/
The third /24 routes via HE.
If you count Russia as "europe", then you'll have many more options.
justhost.ru: https://lg-dtln.justhost.ru/ (try cycling through their different looking glass locations in)
gcore-labs: https://lg.gcore.lu/ (they also have servers in other europian countries, but their best routing to china is in russia)
From our Frankfurt Location, the first one goes over HE to Singapore, the second over Cogent to China Telecom in Amsterdam and the third over HE to Hong Kong.
Maybe our VPS Frankfurt 1 HDD is a fit for you?
1c, 1GB RAM, 25GB HDD, 100Mbit/s fair-use Traffic for CHF 4.50/m (4.25 Euro / 4.60 $)
ifog.ch/en/server/vps-frankfurt-hdd
Payment is possible over PayPal, Credit Card or bank transfer.
Looking glass is available here: lg.fra.fognet.ch
We have RETN https://retn.net/slider/transkz-the-retn-eurasian-way/
And we was able to get good ping to Asia from Lithuania location.
Japan/Tokyo 210
China/Hangzhou 226
China/Hong Kong 221
South Korea/Seoul 219
Singapore 204
Thailand/Bangkok 212
Vietnam/Ho Chi Minh 270
China/Bejing 193
But right, there may be issues in routing as one provider can go through RETN, another via USA providers.
Last time I checked netcup (https://www.netcup.eu) had nice CN route. You can check here if it can work for your needs: https://lookingglass.netcup.net/
I believe ZeptoVM had some nice CN2 gt/gia peering in their St. Petersburg location, not sure about now though. You may ask them for a test ip or something.
Hetzner has direct peering with China Mobile, China Telecom goes through Telia directly to CT and the third subnet you shared is routed through Singapore with NTT. Seems to fit the bill.
CN2 connectivity in Europe is almost nonexistent.
Thanks a lot for your recommendation. I have checked Hetzner but 183.236.6.0/24 was unfortunately routed to U.S.
lol, I should have mentioned we prefer VPS data center in Western Europe. We have our company offices in that region. For this we are still using that as a node.
Hello there. 183.236.6.0/24 was unfortunately routed to U.S.
Thank you. 183.236.6.0/24 is one of our highly focusing network, however it was unfortunately routed to U.S.
Thanks Ruben, but we are looking for a premium network route to 183.236.6.0/24.
I should have mentioned western Europe for prefered location, we have some offices here and would also like to be benefited from the VPS for other services. Milano is fine but the latency to 183.236.6.0/24 was unfortunately not acceptable.
What do you expect a "premium route" to be?
Is paying via SEPA in euros an absolute requirement?
You can check lgbg.alphavps.bg - by the looks of it, we're around 200ms away from 183.236.6.0/24
You should probably tell us more precisely, what exactly makes a route "premium" according to your definition. Least ASNs, RTT, packet loss, etc.
From my point of view the best I can see for 183.236.6.0/24 is handing the packets over to some Chinese carrier in Frankfurt and let them travel down to China from there, resulting in about 200 ms RTT. Similiar for 113.66.6.0/24 and even slightly quicker for 160.20.55.0/24 via HE.
This is however what China Mobile does, Hetzner hands over the connection to China Mobile in Frankfurt. China Mobile apparently routes it through the US.
It probably won’t get better than such a direct connection, as routing via transit seems to go through the US as well. It’s probably just how they designed their network.
AkkoCloud SaltyfishTech have Germany cn2 gia.
You can also try AWS lightsail.
If CN2-GIA is not a strict requirement, you can also try dediserve.com. Their Vienna location has direct peering with China through Anexia (and they used to have CN2-GT but not any more now). Check the routing map below.
EDIT: LG: http://speedtest.c1.vie1.dediserve.com/
You can take a look at our SSDPromo-1 here, 4GB RAM VPS in Amsterdam, NL for only $6/mo: https://greenkvm.com
Test IP/file can be found here: https://greencloudvps.com/data-centers/amsterdam-data-center.php
We use YISP in Amsterdam which has peering with China Telecom and China Mobile.
