If so, I will replace it with another ssd.

    HDDs are way slower than SSDs. So yes, it will hurt performance.

  • Depends what you're running off that HDD. If you're using your SSD for OS, core files etc and HDD for backups, for example then no not really. If you're using RAID with a SSD and HDD then yes, performance will be limited to that of the HDD.

    I prefer SSD for running applications and HDD for storing files/backups. If you do the same, it won't be going to hurt you...

    Depends where you mount it also. For example, mounting a HDD as /home might affect website performance if your websites are under /home (such as DA/cPanel/etc).

    Mounting it as /backups for example, is unlikely to affect OS performance as said.
