Gotta hand it to Yegor and WS Team: They roll!

4 years in the making

4/20 is a pretty controversial day. On one heavily disinfected hand, it is the birthday of a person who made Charlie Chaplin mustache highly unpopular (booo!) on the other heavily disinfected hand, it is also the international day of stoners forgetting what they are celebrating (yaaay!). Most importantly, and much less controversially, it’s also the 4th anniversary of the founding of Windscribe (yaaay again!)! And - drum roll please - a few weeks ago we reached 20,000,000 users! Four years and twenty million users... four... twenty... in 2020... mind blowing. We wanted to throw you all a huge celebration with tigers, cosmonaut autographs and free taquitos, but because of the quarantine, this humble little thank you email will have to do.

Over the last month, Windscribe has been very busy working on super secret awesome projects (stay tuned for a major announcement in 2 weeks!). We also dedicated some time investigating the Coronavirus. Despite our complete lack of medical expertise, we’ve concluded that Ol ’Rona has increased the rates of boredom globally in virtually every sector of humanity except babies, since babies can be entertained by literally anything. We spent some time trying to find a vaccine as well, but all we came up with was wrapping Tylenol in lunchmeat and dipping it in hand sanitizer. That didn’t work, obviously, but it did make vomiting a lot easier than it should be. So we decided find a cure for boredom instead. This led to the creation of a short film of sorts, a coronamercial, if you will. Here is one of them.

Watch Now
If that wasn’t enough, we also made ROBERT ad blocking completely FREE for ALL Windscribe users! Now you can get DNS level ad and tracker blocking, as well as access to our custom block lists - you can even create your own rules if you like. Now you never ever have to see an ad again, and without ads and tracking, you reduce your bandwidth needs which saves you money on your data costs! Simply go to your accounts page and tap the ROBERT tab. Simple yet powerful, like a quarantine fart.

But we still wanted to do more, and quite frankly, you deserve more. We wanted you to feel the joy that we felt when we watched videos of insufferable quarantined celebrities crying alone in their mansions. **There’s only one thing that tops those sweet, sweet tears - free stuff! For this week’s Windscribe 4/20 Anniversary challenge, Tweet us your best boredom cure. The best submissions win free Pro accounts, and the deadline ends at 11:59pm EST Friday Apr. 24th. We’re going to be doing giveaways on Reddit and Discord too! **Join us there to take part in more ridiculous challenges and get more chances to win Windscribe Pro accounts, swag, Jean Claude Van Damme VHS tapes, and more!

From Canada, with love....

I have their free plan, last time I remember they give 50GB/account, now only 10GB for basic free plan.

The good thing is, I can use it for watching Netflix.

A bit less control than what NextDNS does, but yeah, something like this. They are planning to offer more options in the future. They are also planning to offer the DNS standalone.

The advantage of ROBERT would be that the DNS is within their servers, too.
