Cheapest dedicated in North America West Coast?

chxchx Member

I need one for a jumphost and I don't really want to use a VPS for this. KS-1 would work splendidly if they had any in stock in CA but they don't. Also, west coast would be better than east. Any good ideas?

@MrRadic 's Reliablesite have DC there with decent price. Don't know your budget so you can ask him directly.

    WattaServer.com
If you are in Asia, Seattle or LA would be your best bet. Any other requirements?

I found https://www.nocix.net/cart/?id=250 and https://www.wholesaleinternet.net/cart/?id=265 at 10 bucks both in Kansas. That's something. But, compared to the KS-1 several times more expensive. And no, there are no requirements, LA or Seattle would be best but at a sufficiently low cost I will consider anything in USA-Canada.

Are you looking for California or Canada?

  • chxchx Member

I am in Vancouver BC and need to connect to servers in Portland and Seattle so the jumphost would go inbetween. I was looking for west coast to reduce latency.

If interested. Can do a dedicated "Micro server" from https://www.RPIServers.com at $5 for 16GB of space or if you need more space its $7.50.
    Based out of Texas.
I can pm you an ip to test if wanted.

I like that price. I will get one, yes, but your order form is very confusing: if I pick one month, it says $8.50 USD Total Due Today if I pick three months it says $13.52 USD Total Due Today.

I get it: the one month is prorated in such a way that it would expire end of May (8.5/5*30=51 days, it's the 9th so that's 60 days from Apr 1) , the three months one is prorated in a such way that it would expire end of June (13.52/15*90 = 81 days so it's 90 days from Apr 1) but you need to fix these numbers 'cos it's very weird.

@chx Its prorated from the current calendar date till the first plus one month.
I've had quite a few say it is confusing. I've been thinking about turning off the plus one month.

as far as the quarter thing its going off of calendar quarters so every 3 months starting from January
