I guess the rush to AMD upgrades is going to vacate a lot of "good" Intel hardware in the market for the low-end segment

The problem is, after all of the latest CPU patches, there's major performance hits for the Intel CPUs. Only 9th gen and later CPUs have decent performance, but get eaten alive by AMD at a lower price point.
The AMD Ryzen 3700X is 25% faster than the Intel Core i9 9900K at a much lower price point.
The barrier of entry for the low end segment isn't the cost of hardware, at < $20 you're not even covering power/bw/colo bills. Overall, server prices have been going up, not down.
Nice servers, too bad the upgrades are so expensive.
128 GB RAM upgrade for $140/mo ouch.
We have tons of pre-configured options with 128GB of RAM at a much lower price. Custom built servers are more expensive because there's far less automation.
With the rapid deploy / pre-configured, there's a tremendous amount of cost savings through automation, those savings get passed down to you.

There are no further discounts. The pricing site wide was restructured to offer the best we can do upfront.
We have thousands of resellers and have learned over the years that the only ones that were successful weren't competing on price, they offered services on top of ours that attracted and kept customers.
Competing on price is a losing proposition, there will always be someone cheaper.
