IonSwitch: Dallas

Hello! IonSwitch has expanded to Dallas, Texas, USA and been hosting private workloads out of two Texas data centers for over a year. We have consolidated down to what we feel is the more robust option at Carrier-1 and have started to open up public VPS hosting.

Similar to our Seattle, Washington site we own all our equipment, IP addresses, network (AS16584) routers, switches and hypervisors. Multiple upstream carriers and DDOS protection.

Notes
- No outgoing SMTP - my life is too short.
- No BGP at this time.
- No customer referrals for these deals.
- Looking glass isn't up yet -- 204.9.36.6 is a test IP

Host Nodes
E5-2670 (or better) - Same as Seattle.
6 disk RAID10 Enterprise SSD
128GB per hypervisor
Dedicated resources per VPS (see KB) - no overselling.

We are offering some early-adopter huge discounts for this site --

Also, is there any intent in setting up some business up in Canada? Vancouver isn’t far from Seattle you know?

Your request is being treated as a joke because it is too unreasonable.

We hadn't specifically looked at Vancouver. Our business model has generally been own vs lease equipment, and getting equipment into/out of Canada is a bit of work as compared to the US market from what I've seen. We may consider it in the future.

If you have a support question open a support case or email me. I have only refunded folks who have asked for refunds, or in one case was provisioned at the wrong location.

Why would it make sense to have locations in both Seattle and Vancouver but be absent from the east coast?

    Toronto launch confirmed!?!!?

I suggested Vancouver just because there was a lack of VPS hosting services in Vancouver... well I guess there’s like one on LET, rest is very expensive?

It’s just around 2.5hrs drive away from Seattle (traffic and border delays not included) so it would be nice if they set up shop in Vancouver as well so there’s selection.
