Alternative would be that visitors will surf the p0rn images in alt-text mode only.
Never happened and we can add additional bandwidth it’s just to avoid any abuse, as it’s normally what happened on unlimited plans!

Bit of both. I think it's win-win for providers here. My pages probably get a few hits here or there so use almost zero resources (including support). I mean, it's better than a customer who uses all the resources and lots of support tickets, right?
