Black Friday 2019: 100 GB SSD storage - 4,95 EUR monthly
dataforest
Member, Host Rep
Hi,
our Black Friday offer is online:
- Intel Xeon E5 CPU
- 2 cores (host-passthrough & nested virtualization)
- 6 GB ECC RAM
- 100 GB SSD storage (RAID-10 via SAS)
- 1 Gbps
6 months contract / billing period (-> 29,70 EUR recurring). The VAT is now removed automatically for non-EU citizens, without VAT the recurring price is 24,96 EUR.
Like our regular offers & specials we only use "real" server hardware with redundant power supplies and redundant network in the First Colo datacenter in Frankfurt (FFM). Of course our DDoS protection is included for free

Enjoy it!
Best Regards,

Thanks
Any bench?
what mean 100 GB SSD storage (RAID-10 via SAS) ???
RAID-10 via SASЮ???
@PHP_Friends
What's the stock like for this offer?
Up to 16 SSDs per node connected via SAS combined in a RAID-10.
(Not sure if I understand the question.)
Anyone have PHP-Friends Looking Glass?
any benchmark?
detached cores?
@PHP_Friends😊

Can I do a direct credit card payment? If so can I dm the order number...
Hi @PHP_Friends
Your got a great BF 2019 offer there. But will this be ever made available again?
https://php-friends.de/vserver-ssd/vserver-schnupperspecial-2019-ssd-g2
Thought it was a mix of SSD and SAS disks
No, it doesn't get that dirty
Only via PayPal, sorry.
From their news section:
Edit: And SAS is a protocol, not a specific type of disk.
If we have enough resources in the used hardware generation that would be possible, but currently the resources are sold for at least 6 months (and as we don't receive many cancellations in general I don't think we will have enough resources available in 6 months already).
Thanks for the great translation. That's right. However some providers consider SAS drives as HDDs which is simply wrong. We mean the protocol only as a dedicated PCI Express SAS controller with enough fast datacenter SSDs really makes fun. Way faster than SATA (which is fine for a few SSDs but not for that amount) if you are using the right backplane
I wish it were my translation. Google Translate is getting better and better. So not much work done
That is how you separate the good from the bad provider. Someone said: nerd catnip
And thank you for the great offer by the way.
interesting...
@PHP_Friends
Is each CPU core dedicated?
+1
+1
No, the cores are not dedicated this time. Of course we make sure that the nodes don't get overloaded, but as this is a completely new product (older CPUs + new SSDs = cheap Black Friday deal with a lot of fast storage ) we don't have much experience yet with this exact hardware / offer combination so we don't want to guarantee more than we can. I personally think that you won't experience more steal time than on our servers with dedicated courses, but currently we don't know it for sure.
that's sad news, it's supposed to be your the best deal of the year, not the worst
do you offer a refund?
Indeed, i‘m glad i didn‘t purchase it.
64~128gb ram VPS next offer cyber monday?
Thanks.
LET style: provider raises price = BAD, provider experiments with higher density to provide a smaller price = BAD
What the fuck is wrong with you.
provider being sustainable = BAD
No one has problems with that, but if you offer regular only dedicated cores, you should at least mention it.
Does anyone know the cancellation policy of PHP-Friends?
