I name my servers after LET members I have banned.

There is a whole wiki with thousands of naming schemes...try them all:

    Ah didn't know that existed.

Just looked at it and yeah the scheme I use is listed indeed :D

1 - get rid of all idling servers
2 - put all your services on 1 big enough VM from a reputable provider or a dedi (if necessary)
3 - get rig of now newly idling servers
    4 - find 1 good name
    5 - relax

(If you end up with 2/3 vm for better isolation, or out of sheer paranoia that's kinda fine, just use city1 city2 - and as you'd likely have them in different cities anyway you can likely skip the number).

I wanna see you relax, when your fat thing comes down from the sky.

  • @Neoon I hear you, you'd prefer to hear a more radical solution. Well I guess in many cases we could answer: "why would you waste time naming idling servers? This is LET, go to your panel, click 'shutdown' (the idling of the pro) and go grab more useless VPSes!".

Why would you get married? I don't know, I wont recommend it either.

  • Usually server.domain-they-are-hosting

My home servers are all server#.myfirstname-home.com

I'm far from a creative person unfortunately.

    loc-purpose-number

So I could have dal-stor1 (dallas storage 1).
