Looking for Storage VPS (2TB) in Europe
I'm looking for a storage VPS in Europe (but not in the Netherlands). It's for personal backups, nothing questionable.
Reqs:
- Europe (preferrably west or central)
- 2TB storage (depending on price 1.5TB could also do it).
- 1GB RAM is enough
- 1 decent core is enough
- Bandwith: 5TB or more
- Budget €7 / month
Of course I know of @cociu 's deals but I'm still a bit cautious (sorry for that). AlphaVPS @AlexBarakov has something that almost fits me. But those are both in Eastern Europe. Not completely out of the question, but I prefer something closer.

If you can wait until BF, HostHatch is a solid provider and they may have an offer of their storage VPS in London.
I'd recommend @UltraVPS as well but their storage offer is only in Amsterdam.
I'm not sure if any current offerings exactly in your budget assuming HostHatch London promo is done for now (but keep an eye out for offers from @Abdullah as Black Friday approaches)
If you can work with NAT then check wishosting's NAT storage offer in Germany - pro-tip: stalk their "deal of the day page" or reach out to @exception0x876 (I was able to grab a promotional offer with bump to 1.8 TB storage a few months ago and can recommend - it's good stuff).
or wait for the inevitable Kimsufi flash sale if you can live with 100 mbits
might also just suggest for decent quality (with a re-adjusted but still reasonable budget) take a look at CrownCloud (@SpeedBus
), and InceptionHosting (@AnthonySmith),and ultraVPS.eu(@UltraVPS) for more good options in Germany and London, and AmsterdamEDIT2: Hetzner storage box might be another reasonable (quality) option, just a bit above your requested budget at €9.90 monthly (+ vat if you are in EU) for 2 TB (note that this is not a vps though)

$7.50 = €6.54
20TB @ 1Gbps for $7.50 is very enticing I might have to give it a whirl....
@debaser have you tried our network? We have pretty good connectivity throughout Europe.
Thanks for all the suggestions all.
@uptime, didn’t know of Hetzner Storagebox. Bit more expensive, but supports rsync and WebDAV so sounds good.
@seriesn, this looks tempting! Do you have a looking glass or test file available?
@AlexBarakov, just downloaded a test file. Very fast, almost maxes out my 500Mbps connection. I wonder if the upload is just as good. Too bad the 2TB is a bit above budget.
Maybe I should up my budget a bit. I can wait for BF though.
Yes, me too...

Try us out , don't wait till its too late.
Location : Germany
Test IPv4: lgger.nexusbytes.com
Test file: http://lgger.nexusbytes.com/1000mb.test.zip
Here you go boss.
Is it just me or does the hostname resolve to a location to NY? I did a traceroute and it didn't seem to hop over the Atlantic...
Pretty sure it’s you boss.
Care to pm me the data.
Oh I was tracerouting "llgger.nexusbytes.com" instead of just "lgger".
Hope it fits your need
It is.
I had one for 11months. Premium transit blend.
Ultravps
Is the server located in Germany for this offer?
In addition to that, will be this on Hetzner network? Do you also offer IPv6 for this 2TB storage offer?
Yes sir.
Hetzner yes, v6 Negative.
time4vps is the best choice for storage vps plans
I have been using @time4vps for a few months now, but I know them from the past, price is good, I suggest you also get the 1eur/month gigabit port. Only issue I had is that they dont want to add fuse on OVZ, but the rest works great, and I used it intensively, it was not idle (initial backup was 600GB, and its been doing daily 10GB backups), so an OK provider.
I adjusted my budget a little bit and finally chose for a storage VPS at AlphaVPS.
Why? Primarily because @AlexBarakov is a well respected provider here.
Furthermore, they own their own hardware which is a big plus. Despite being located in Sofia, both upload and download speeds are consistently between 460 and 500 Mbps on my 500 Mbps connection.
And of course if you want geographic diversity a service on the other end on the continent is a good choice, something I realized later. And where better than in a beautiful city in a very nice country?
Edit: yeah, I’m sounding like a used-car salesman now, I know.
go with time4vps
I already made my choice, so it's a no. You dedicated two posts for this suggestion, but we're still at 0 arguments.
