What dist is this?
Considering it's rpm, it looks like CentOS.
This is fedora 15
@TheHackBox: You'd think, however, there's this to consider: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:RPM-based_Linux_distributions
Did you try rpmfind.net?
@nabo i already got the RPM...
It looks like GLIBC 2.15 is part of Fedora 16 and onward.. if you haven't installed anything on this system, you may want to consider upgrading first.
Good point :P I thought this may have been a VPS and most VPS providers have CentOS... not sure about Fedora.
Additionally, there appears to be an ncftp compiled for Fedora 15:
http://rpmfind.net/linux/rpm2html/search.php?query=ncftp
Found the solution
Installed the fedora 15 version of ncftp
Fail from me....
Have you tried
yum install glibc glibc-devel
?
@joodle this is why a package manager front end isn't a bad idea ...
Well you can call rpm with the
--aid
-option. That solves and installs all dependencies automatically:rpm -ivh --aid filename.rpm
