edited September 2019 in Requests

Hi,

Since my current provider is discontinuing its business operations, I am looking for a new small VPS.

Here's what I need:

1 vCore
1x dedicated IPv4
1 IPv6 10GB Storage
100GB Traffic (or higher)
128MB Ram

Location: Germany
Price 12 - 14€ Annual.

Please no offers for other locations.

Thanks.

Here are a few options: https://www.serverhunter.com/?search=BA4-DD7-AF8

If you want any lower pricing, you'd have to drop the IPv4 requirement. :)

Last I checked, Hetzner cloud starts at 30 EUR/year.

hello @blu3bird - from your budget and specs I'm guessing you are looking for (or okay with) openVZ?

seems possible if somewhat challenging, perhaps one of the providers here will be able to accomodate a "micro" deal.

I'm more familiar with KVM offers and - with apologies for being just a bit over your desired budget - will suggest you take a look at a current offer from @HostDoc - KVM with 1 vcore / 512 MB ram / 10 GB ssd / 500 GB monthly traffic on 1 Gbps (shared) port - (I'm guessing probably on Hetzner infrastructure) in Germany - for ₤14 yearly: https://clientsarea.hostdoc.co.uk/cart.php?a=add&pid=972

This is a promotional price from the HostDoc 2nd anniversary celebration thread here on LET.

(I have a similar deal from HostDoc in Germany I got a few months ago and can happily confirm that it is stable and performant.)

Some other quality providers that I know offer (KVM) services in Germany are:

They are all a bit above your requested budget (still good value for high quality in my opinion). But who knows, perhaps they might even have some suggestions for you.

Also I know of a newer host doing some good deals (I think just on larger systems) in Germany - @StockServers - just tagging them to say hello and see if they might have any suggestions as well. :)

Finally might also point you to https://serverhunter.com to search for more options - just be sure to check reviews (or ask here) to confirm quality if you see something interesting.

    EDIT2:

I see @ServerHunter already stopped by to drop a link while I was typing ...

Here is the search filtered for just Germany: https://www.serverhunter.com/?search=DA7-1C4-72B

If you can get the VirMach "micro" then that seems like a good option.

Gullo's and mrvm are good stuff but you'll need to setup an ipv6-to-ipv4 gateway (Hurricane Electric provides a "tunnelbroker" service for free)

vServer.site looks interesting but I don't know anything about them - better check for some reviews ...

One of my shortest yet most difficult posts. To get it grammatically right, took forever. But factually right.

@blu3bird hope you find the host that works best for you. Cheers
