I'm looking west coast US dedicated server

-any cpu
-least 64GB memory
-ddos protection (optional)
-SSD or HDD
-100mbps+ network
-additional HDD for storage(optional)

Budget: Up to $100/month

I found that perfectip is selling servers for really cheap.. but I want to know the different option.

    Yeah still shit, just tested it from Oregon less than 30 miles away and getting 42-49ms.
    From servers in Seattle to OVH is 85.792ms

    From New York it's not quite as bad, 95.7ms which is still a bit high.

    Looks like just some route issues, Cogent goes via Seattle to California, then back up to Oregon.
    Comcast looks to go from Oregon goes to Seattle then down to California then back.

    You would think with how much money they spend on equipment etc, they would have some better transit and peering in place. Maybe next year it will improve more. :D

    Huh, didn't know. My Vint hill server gets 77ms to Ovh FRA and 33ms to Psychz dallas
